Prague Map – This is a simple map (plan mesta) of the city. If you require a more specific plan mesta then Kartografie Praha offers extensive and cheap street guides, but make sure you’re purchasing the latest edition. The 1:10 000 map covers central districts in detail and the 1:20 000 edition covers the suburbs and the city centre with a full street index and metro map. They can be bought at PIS offices, street kiosks and bookshops. SHOCart’s GeoClub Praha plan mesta and Marco Polo’s Praha Centrum are also good. The PIS can give you a free ‘Welcome to the Czech Republic’ leaflet complete with maps if you drop in too. You can also purchase detailed maps of Prague and the Czech Republic from the bigger online stores and also Guide Books.
